Hi, so we’ve added another part to our class. It is an account at digg.com. It is a great way to share sites that you like, use or want me to check out. The girls posted links to their blogs last week, and I added one today to a new kids programming language developed by Microsoft called Kodu. Go see what we’ve dugg already. http://digg.com/bw811712

Starting the new year

September8

So we are ready to get running this year! We’ve taken the typing test, we checked our gaggle email accounts now we can get our blogs up and running. If you have submitted your ideas paragraph you are ready to begin. I would like you to read over the page on waldal.com about beginning blogging. Beginning  Blogging Then their are 2 different forms I’d like you to fill out before you begin.  One is on finding what you like about different blogs and the other is about your first blog post.  Both forms need to be filled out before you can go and sign up for a blog.

Once you have that done, then let me know and I’ll point you over to the next step.

Pranav Mistry

May11

So remember that video we watched on the Sixth Sense? Well, today I’d like you to check out Pranav’s website and a video that he did from a talk he did in India.

What do you think?  How would this change technology, education, business?  What would you add? What do you not like about it?  How would you describe it to someone who has never seen or heard of this?  Is this similar to when other forms of technology were invented? the telephone, the tv, the computer?

I’d like you to write about the sixth sense on your personal blogs.  Add in links, videos, or photos that you think are helpful in explaining the Sixth Sense.

When you are done you may check out other things on Pranav’s website, read other students blogs and see what they thought about it, or even write Pranav, tell him what you think!  Check Google and see what other people are saying about the Sixth Sense.

Good morning today is another day where you will discover two more Web 2.0 tools that have so many uses and are really fun to use.

TerraClues is the ultimate Google Maps scavenger hunt game! I would like you to complete this scavenger hunt. http://www.terraclues.com/PlayHunt.aspx?HuntID=683.

you may complete 2 more hunts if you wish.

The other site is Animoto.com.  I’d like you to create an animoto slideshow.  You may make a slideshow on a topic related to your blog or about a city that you have visited. Check out my animoto video I created. (for this site you will need to create an account using your gaggle.net email address)
